Sam Garcia

Born in Mexico City, Sam Garcia earned his BA in Graphic Communication from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and obtained sponsorship from the Central Bank of Mexico to continue his studies in the production of banknote design in Spain, former Yugoslavia, Belgium, and England. Immigrating to Canada in 1988, he began working for British American Bank Note, DuraNote Inc. and as a consultant for Document Security Systems Inc. In 2004, he became the photographer for EMBASSY newspaper and currently is a freelance photographer for The Hill Times. Since 2004, Sam has also undertaken a diverse range of freelance work, covering diplomatic functions, presidential visits, ministerial visits, and Canadian Parliamentary activities.
