Dr. Jennifer Orange

Jennifer is a lawyer, mediator, arbitrator and educator. Called to the Bar of Ontario in 2000, she was recently a member of the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario where she mediated and adjudicated cases in the areas of discrimination and harassment. Jennifer understands the complex realities that impact how parties make decisions. She started her career at Torys LLP where from 2000-2007 she litigated cases in civil, commercial, administrative, employment and human rights law representing some of Canada's most prestigious companies, government agencies and organizations. She has taught over 10 law school classes at the University of Toronto and the University of Western Ontario and obtained her doctorate in 2019.

Jennifer has been a leader in several non-profit organizations with a focus on mental health, patient advocacy and rare diseases, including the Gerstein Crisis Centre, Patients Canada and the APS Type 1 Foundation.

Jennifer has a B.A. in Asian Studies from the University of Pennsylvania, an LL.B. and S.J.D. from the University of Toronto and an LL.M. from New York University.
